That sorry i never got...

...As we enter 2019

You know the “I’m sorry” you never got from someone you loved or deeply cared for? The one person who without trying seems to hold you back from feeling free from the pain they caused you.

As we enter 2019 here is an exercise you may want to try to free yourself from the attachment of the “I’m sorry” you’ll never get. Take a moment to write yourself a letter from that very person who you wish would take the time to apologize and talk with you about the pain that they caused you.

Write that letter as if you were them writing it directly to you. What you wish they would say, what they might share, what commitments they may make, and how they might surrender to the acceptance and accountability for hurting you.

Then as you complete the letter finalize it with a promise...an “I promise to you” from them. A promise that would help establish a healthy nurturing relationship in 2019. When you are done change the Dear (your name) to their name. Replacing your name with their’s. Read the letter over now as if the letter is addressed to them. See what it reveals about you, see what promises you need to make and what areas of accountability you could learn to surrender to. Find yourself in that person and find a whole new way for freeing yourself in 2019. Happy and healthy new year my friends. Keep doing the work towards living and loving your truth freely!
